So I’m a little late as August is already half way over but I thought I would sum up the month anyway! It’s my last month at home with Mia before I start my career, a month of rain and yet another month away from Mark. Hopefully next month’s update will include a family reunion!
We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths. – Walt Disney
Reading: George R. R. Martin’s Game of Thrones. I wanted to delve deeper into the world of Game of Thrones after the most recent, thrilling TV series and learn more about them! So I am reading the books, and boy! Are they amazing!
Eating: Homegrown fruit. Mia and I have gone to the farm to pick our own strawberries/raspberries and we have been loving the plums from the tree in the garden. The fact we can pick the fruit straight from the tree and eat it is fascinating to Mia and is encouraging us both to eat healthier!
Drinking: JaM Cellar’s Wines are my go to wine at the moment! Mia has been sick this last week and a nice glass of wine at the end of the day is the best!
Watching: I decided that I shouldn’t have given up on Doctor Who when David Tennant left so I am rewatching it all on Netflix! It’s been brilliant, I am currently up to Season 6. Game of Thrones is another big show I’m crushing on right now. Season 7 has been totally epic and I’ve loved every minute of it!
Mia: Just recovered from a nasty virus – 105+ fevers for a week was horrible!
Looking Forward To: Starting my teacher training course at the beginning of September! I’m super excited about starting my teaching career and can’t wait to get stuck in!
Loving: Rediscovering my love of classical piano. Not many people may know that I am a classical trained pianist but I haven’t played in years. However, being home and finding my Grandma’s sheet music reopened my eyes to the piano and I’m loving immersing myself in Beethoven, Mozart & Rachmaninov once again!
Thinking: About the Solar Eclipse on the 21st. It’s such a shame we moved away from the line of totality just months before the Solar Eclipse but I still watched it online, courtesy of NASA, and it was a great moment in history to remember!
Wishing: for some warmer weather! I’m greatly missing the South Carolina sunshine right now and hoping this cold, wet, English summer brightens up soon!
