I got the call this morning that my friend had landed an interview for her dream job! Hooray! Go Maria! And, of course I would watch Seth for her, that was no problem! Then she drops the bombshell that he has a community service assignment due tomorrow that involved frosting a bunch of cupcakes. She had baked the cupcakes already, all Seth and I needed to do was frost them. Panic strikes, I have no confectioner’s sugar to make any frosting for him. Luckily, Pillsbury™ just released our favorite Creamy Supreme frosting in a pre-filled Pastry Bag and it just so happens to be sold at Ahold locations! So, a quick trip to an Ahold store, such as Stop & Shop, and you have everything you need for the impending project! Follow this link for a fantastic coupon to save money when you buy your Pastry Bags at Stop & Shop to make your project that much cheaper!

I was warned by Maria that Seth was not to watch TV or play any video games until he had completed his project and she can be quite a scary lady! So, we immediately set about frosting the cupcakes. The Pillsbury Creamy Supreme Frosting comes ready filled in Pastry Bags so it was super fun, easy, and quick to get this project done, and Seth could go and enjoy his free time. After all, there were quite a few cupcakes he had to frost so the fact that there was zero preparation with this delicious frosting was a huge bonus!

How To Frost A Cupcake With Pillsbury

These Pastry Bags come in 3 delicious flavors, Vanilla, Chocolate Fudge and Cream Cheese.  They are ready to go straight from the box with a built-in star shaped frosting tip. The star shaped tip means you can frost your favorite treats in several different designs; stars, rosettes or waves! The steps to using these Pastry Bags to frost your favorite bakes are simple:

  1. Squash the frosting towards the tip and twist the top of the Pastry Bag to stop any frosting escaping out the top as you pipe.
  2. Remove the plastic cover from the bag’s tip by tearing at the handy perforation.
  3. Squeeze from the top of the Pastry Bag to frost your cupcake! Swirling or swaying the frosting to create your own unique designs.

Easy enough for anyone to use, the Pastry Bags are fun for your whole family and make the perfect topping to any of your baked goodies. They allow bakers of any ability to elevate their homemade goodies and yield some truly impressive results.

Our Favorite Frosting

Thanks to the ease of these Pastry Bags, we had all of Seth’s cupcakes frosted and decorated in no time. He experimented with a few different designs and eventually settled on the classic cupcake swirl. Personally, I think he really mastered it! All the cupcakes turned out looking spectacular, and I bet his teacher is going to love them all.

The Pastry Bags allowed us to create some fun-filled memories without the hassle of making everything from scratch. We created perfectly frosted, gourmet-style cupcakes without having to buy any fancy equipment! Which was especially good as Seth’s Mom is a baker! He is used to high standards when it comes to cake decoration!

We may have snuck one to try out as well and, although the home-baked cupcakes from Maria were truly scrumptious, the frosting really elevated them. It gave that added creamy sweetness everyone really wants from a cupcake. I love a good bit of sweet, creamy frosting on my cupcake! Thank you, Pillsbury for creating truly, the easiest way to frost a cupcake ever!
